Be Cheerful to feel happier and spread happiness

"Cheerfulness is what greases the axles of the world. Don't go through life creaking." H.W.Byles.

Cheerfulness is the quality or state of being noticeably happy and optimistic.

Why is it important to be cheerful?

Who would you like to be in the company of:
- a cheerful friend who is is bubbling with energy and enthusiasm as if he is the luckiest person alive or
- a grumpy one who acts as if the world is going to end tomorrow and he won't be able to drive his favourite car which he hasn't even bought?

Who do you think would have a better immunity and ability to deal with challenges in life:
- someone who is cheerful and optimistic about life and future or
- or someone who always looks worried and anxious?

Who would you consider as more charismatic when you meet at conference or a public event:
- someone who is cheerful, smiling and meeting people warmly or
- someone who is cold, sheepish and frowning?

When it comes to assessing others we are quickly drawn towards cheerful, charismatic and positive personalities and this is the reason why we should also make every effort to be like one of them.

It will help us to to be more attractive, make friends easily, deal with any situation more effectively, and to be fit and strong.

How to improve your cheerfulness?

First and easiest of all possible actions that we can take to be more cheerful is to learn to smile more often. A simple smile can trigger release of mood boosting neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin that can help you elevate your mood.

Second initiative that we can take to be more cheerful is to appreciate and adopt humour in our life. You can simply learn to share funny moments and jokes to lighten any environment that you are in. You can also practice appreciating humour shared by others wholeheartedly. Humour and Laughter have the power to blow away the blues in your life, leaving you feeling lighter, happier and cheerful.

Third initiative that you can take is to add pleasure breaks to your daily routine. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy, goes a popular saying. By mixing fun in between helps to release the stress and anxiety that gets built up and comes out in the form of irritation and frustration at the end of the day. You can add 5 or 10 minute break every hour to listen to your favourite music, read or  listen to jokes, or just chit chat with your friend. This frequent recharging will prevent draining of your batteries and keep you cheerful throughout the day.

Wishing you more cheerfulness and happiness in your life.

Let's spread happiness together.
